Note: This poem is written in four stanzas, each consisting of four lines. As compared to the other poem, it has more of a set rhyme scheme. It alternates between ABAB or rhyming couplets. This poem is loosely inspired by the Shakespearean sonnet style.
Finding the One
Others have it much more rough,
They never find that special one,
One whom they can call 'beloved.'
We often live lonely lives,
Because we don’t take risks in life.
If only we could share our feelings
Open up our souls and be revealing.
We might just see what life is about.
What it means to be truly alive.
We need to scream, we need to shout
We need to laugh, we need to let it out.
Loneliness can cloud our lives,
Making it difficult to feel alive.
We need to search for the joys in life,
Hopefully with a true love by our side.
